A Serious Question

A question about reality,
That is a distinct possibility—
Involving a serious conflict,
Between what is out there
And what is just in here;
An objective truth,
Alone and apart out there,
Or just a subjective truth,
In our minds in here;
Or in other words,
Universal Truth,
Or relative truth?
All the world of opposites,
All the Yangs and Yins,
Outside there or inside here?
Male vs. female,
Up vs. down,
Right vs. wrong,
True vs. false,
Destiny vs. free will;
All resulting from
The basic process of life,
The back and forth flow,
Separation into parts,
Then reunion into oneness.
Or is this just an illusion,
The creation of opposites,
From words and mind,
That are instead we find,
Different sides of the same coin.
This oddly seems to be both,
The question and the answer,
The ultimate conflict in life,
Responsible for all disagreements,
Between all the Yang’s and Yins.
But could it be for you and me,
This is the Answer
To the mystery of life—
We can only know the oneness,
By truly understanding its parts,
As the whole Truth,
Leaving nothing to disagree,
In the way of being free,
From both words and realities,
And all the differences,
We just think we see.
