Good Communication

Good communication—

A delicate mixture,

What to say,

How to say it,

Who to say it to,

When to say it,

Knowing why?

We usually get lost,

Somewhere in between.

The trick?

Good communication,

Can never be assumed,

Clarify misunderstanding,

Choose words wisely,

Use two-eared listening—

Hearing what is said,

Or not said,

What is said,

From how it is said,

And listening to understand,

Rather than to respond,

Remembering silence,

Is often the best response.

Beliefs

Beliefs are powerful,

They determine elections,

Start Wars,

Run the economy,

And ruin friendships.

Something to consider—

Beliefs do change,

Over time and place,

From new learning,

With new experience;

But they all start,

With one assumption,

Trusting the source,

Of what we know,

To just be so,

Often with little evidence.

Parting advice—

Have the courage,

To question your beliefs,

And shed your security blanket,

Realizing the wisdom,

Of inevitable insecurity.

Love

Love is being—

Being kind,

Being honest,

Being affectionate,

Being sensitive,

Being forgiving,

Being aware,

Being mindful,

Being compassionate,

Being generous,

Being unselfish,

Giving,

Caring,

Helping,

Doing,

Whenever enough,

Is never enough.,

When conditions.

Don’t matter.
