Walking the catacombs, hearing faint sighs,
knowing soon ...that love will die.
Grey and cold, each breath is doomed,
as shadows lurk about the tombs.
All hopes are fading, tears are swelling,
Fate has cursed our earthly dwelling.
Hard to see, when light is leaving,
And the Hour of Loss is creeping.
Death leaves no man, to find his peace,
when the beating pulse shall cease.
Buried 'neath abandoned dreams,
lost souls will roam here endlessly.
