I am free  

The wind blowing my hair

As I walk this path

Feeling the peace

While the sun sets on a hot summer night..    

I have freedom

Its just a word

Or is it a place?

That we all want

And imagine

Seeking at all cost

Wanting to know what its like

To be a soul on fire

Touching and setting a flame in the hearts

Of those whom they don’t even know  

With hope and desire

Love and peace

Is it a dream?

Is this hope just something we long for?

What is the cost of freedom?

What is the price of hope?

Our sons

Our children

Our protectors

Strong

Fearless

Ask them

Of the price of freedom

Of hope and desire

Of love

And peace

To walk this path

Of freedom

This place

This word

This flame

In my sons heart

With love he would give his life

For you

For me
