A Tribute To Michael Jackson who passed away on June 25, 2009.
(c)2009 Donovan A. McFarlane

Break-dance your way home my friend

From a majestic beginning to a depressing end

A lamp that goes out brightly never knew the joy of the wind

But you had it all and lived it well

Victim of your greatness and kindness?

Or simply fate…!

Some said you were confused

Abused and even abused

You were king of the world

Victim of the greedy and beloved of children

And in the end to die…friends and no friends!

Break-dance your way home my friend

To the unknown twilight or a new awakening dawn

A transcending glide - a funky waltz,

Or even a moonwalk to uncharted realms

To befriend and entertain!

Hello fellow authors Aberjhani, Liana Margiva, and Gerald Tate, I appreciate your comments and your review of this Tribute Poem to Michael Jackson...it is only a deserving remembrance of a wonderful artist who suffered the triviality of human indicretions.

"A transcending glide - a funky waltz" -- That would be just his singular beautiful dynamic breath-taking style. Much gratitude for the sharing.
