A Poem By Mario Watts

My mother died soon after a long fought malady war

Just after she told me that I was what she lived for

I guess she’s better off now than she was before

A whole lot better off than the pain she left here

I used to cry hoping that she would someday make it through

I guess that’s the kind of thing that all children do

Now I cry because I want to see her again

But I have to remember that sometimes life, is not always the way…

My mother was my strength and my guide

She knew all my feelings

Even the ones I tried to hide.

She always cried for love, never for pain

Now I see that the love we shared was in never shared in vain.

But all good things never last…

Sorry took so long to read this lovely poem! Fighting with my own secret dragons and demons but okay now! Funny how you lost your mother and I lost my son. I also used to cry, hoping and praying that he'd make through but he didn't. Have cried many times because I will never see him in this life. But there's hope that one day I'll get to see him and hug him to me.

SDo sad but losing people is part of life. I know I mourn for all my lost ones and loved ones and don't wish them back because they are without pain now, but miss them tremendously as you do your Mother. Take care and memories are good for you.

Mario, how sad... How like a mother to cry for love, and not for pain. How lucky for you to realize that love is never given in vain, and lives forever. It cannot be created nor destroyed, and lives forever in the heart.

Peace. Joyce Hale
