"After the Mass" deals with death and the hope of resurrection
Long days of drought are over.Ochre adobe -- softened by the raincovers Mother's grave.Green humped hills near Tamalpaissplash purple lupinescrowned with golden poppieswild iris bloom profusesilver troutring the fingered pool.Long days of grief are over.Tear-filled familyfresh from funeral Masswalks the healing hillside pathshearing wildfloweredshoutsof resurrection joy.
