A Better View
Pain was never sent to break,
But shape the ground on which you wake,
Each wound you carry holds a key,
To something lost inside the sea.
The love that drained, the bond that burned,
Revealed the line you never turned,
The ones who left, the ones who lied,
Just showed you where you stood denied.
The failure that you thought was end,
Became the part that learned to bend,
The crack you feared would pull you through,
Was handing you a better view.
For pain is not a wall or chain,
It’s where the roots relearn the rain,
It’s not the stop, it’s not the scar,
It’s where you figure who you are.
