INDIAN BLOOD song lyrics
by JOEL SATTLER

Indian blood indian blood
soaking in the ground
lying all around
Indian blood

the Mississippi River is water and mud
20 million square miles of topsoil
and Indian blood

the Indian blood indian blood
flowing down the river
flowing all around
Indian blood

the Oklahoma lie the horsemen pass by
the trail of tears forever
the sound of babys' cry
Indian blood

Custer had it coming
Custer was a fool
Custer was a devil vicious and cruel

Andrew Jackson was a hero
he took the promised land
and cut it up to zero
in the palm of his hand

Indian blood indian blood
soaking in the ground
lying all around
Indian blood

King Philip
was made promises
and every one was broken
except for the one
that should have been unspoken

they promised to take it all
and leave the people with just nothing
except the love of Jesus
and the terrifying nothing

Indian blood indian blood
soaking in the ground
lying all around
Indian blood

the people have been here
for over twenty thousand years
but the Conquistadors took everything
even though it wasn't their's

even now they are not equal
in the land they thought was all
they can't even cross the Rio Grande
without coming to the wall

Indian blood indian blood
soaking in the ground
lying all around
Indian blood

A sad commentary of what my European ancestors did to the natives that originally help them survive by trade and friendship.

But if we go back further, it has been almost always battles over territory leading to blood on the ground. Isn't it time that we stop such stupid behavior?

I visited once the grassy hillside where Custer made his last stand. He was a fool and deserve everything you got.
