Two At Sea

2 characters 2 survivors

 
 
Tossed into the deep
the mariner jury rigs a
mast to a bit flotsam
sets a scraps o’ sail
and whistle’s for a wind
Thus provided with a vessel he
squints at the sun and
sails off into the
the mist,
 
Tossed into the wind
the poet takes a deep breath
and examining the flotsam
of his days he begins to write.
From all his lies, lies
past present and future,
the poet weaves a magic carpet
and sails off into
the dawn
