Something wretched lonely sits
Waits for me with eyes all lit
Tis human maybe perhaps not
Matters none as to the plot

Empty castle all alone
With forest tall and overgrown
Its face looks out onto the sea
As angry cliffs carry me

Raging winds push me back
The castle can’t ward off attack
I look to find all those within
But find just me and the raging wind

Dismal gray and cold hard stone
A place I know I once called home
But now time has passed it by
And nothing kindred hears our cry

Except the wretched lonely thing
Like solitude that time will bring
As it has to my castle shell
Where lonely, I shall sit a spell
