Teased the stars down from the moon
Taunted the wind to swoon
What have you done?
Teased the stars down from the moon
Taunted the wind to swoon
Joined the ritual dance
Left the woods entranced…
Stepped back through the years
Where we’ve left our fears
And brought to light
Your seductive might.
Show me pleadingly how you plan to cite
Ceremonial words to the dark of night
Raise the stream so softly babbling
For cosmos to hear so baffling.
Let me feel the sounds of the trees
You paint with childish, playful ease
What have you done?
Illuminated night
With sun kissed light
Created a grove sacred
Where lives no hatred.
I follow you wantonly
To the place where stars willingly
Leave their mother moon
For your touch they swoon.
