Inspiration’s come back to me
in shades of lavender and blue,
A gift I have been give
and I’d like to share it now with you.
Can you see skies of blue
softly o’er your head?
Are your dreams pleasant ones
as you rest upon your bed?
Is there sunshine coming in your window
with the gentle sweet breezes of May?
Can you hear the music of birdsong
as you walk on your journey this day?
Are you resting upon the sands of time,
are you calm, are you peaceful inside?
Is your heart on your sleeve as you travel this life,
or is it a part of you that you hide?
Have you learned to go with the river
as it flows through the centre of your soul?
Or, do you fight with the demons that rest inside
threatening to disassemble the whole?
It is up to each individual
to make right choices in their view,
My life belongs to no one but me,
just as your life belongs to you.
