A Touch On My Lips

Listening to music is one of my pleasures

Especially when I am feeling blue

It is relaxing as a mocking bird  serenading me

I do not like all types I admit to that

Rap music is just ebonics gone bad

The overture of an opera is a delight

So are ballads with feelings of love

To listen to a love song is my concerto

They are simple and melodic 

As long as I am alive I will love

People and animals are my bevy of wonder

At times I feel lost

However music brings me back to my inner essence

Now I crave just one pleasure before I die

A woman's touch on my lips

And I will close my eyes to drift off in peace
