A poem about being in an isolated place of comfort

Stripped of illumination Serenity from pain Tranquil transformation Sheltered from the rain A perfect sense of nothing Just echoes of the heart Protection from destruction Of a life once torn apart A neutral realm of silence Reserved for only one My solitary existence Where thoughts become undone For time does not belong here No rules for I to follow For this is my safe sanctuary Where I will be tomorrow
