Walking through the memories
Witnessing fragile, broken hearts
Those that I have left in ruin
Like a master of fine arts
Collective memories fade
As the seasons come and go
What seemed to last forever
Melted with the snow
I used to know each detail
Those little trivial things
Now would I even recognise them
As they became discarded rings
I’m guilty of hurting many
Or was it just a few
I had to swim through darkened seas
Just to get to you
Love is not perfected
With life’s first purest kiss
It’s a whirlwind of emotions
Until the perfect bliss
I don’t apologise for the pain
Because it’s given in two ways
Take the rough amongst the smooth
Until you see brighter days
