A poem based about finding your true soulmate in life

Years of sitting here waiting For love to come to me Like a ship sailing into the night Just drifting in the sea Ripples of reflection From a stone thrown off the rocks Shows me the path of destination An escape from paradox Sunrays from the dark sky Warms the ground within A shadow appears around me Souls create a twin When you meet your one true love, The eternal twist of fate Love that’s so unbound No other can relate Through all the darkness, Days of dark self rejection Our connection is your golden light To eternal self appreciation Twin flames from a fire Embers dance with fate Rise into the night sky Entwine with true soulmate

Very enjoyable poem, Dean. I like the music of your poetry and how it flows along with grace. My favorite four-line stanza is: �Sunrays from the dark sky�� ~~ djl (the other Diana).

There is no more satisfying and wonderful feeling
than finding your true soulmate�
Especially if it has been a long time in coming!

�Twin flames from a fire
Embers dance with fate
Rise into the night sky
Entwine with true soulmate�

For some reason this poem seems to be more sad than joyous. The words are there, but the sentiment seems to be towards failure rather than success.
