LIGHTHOUSE

L eading ships

I n danger away from destruction-

G uiding them to

H arbors with safer seas.

T asked to protect them from

H arm until storm

O r fog is past; These ships can now

      be

U nafraid of what the

S ea holds and able to

E njoy the voyage.

With GPS, lighthouses have become even more, obsolete. But their locations and their unique construction make them more iconic than ever.

My nephew and his (now) wife were enamored with lighthouses on the Great Lakes. I fashioned a poem about a lighthouse for their wedding.

You summed up the lighthouse and its duties very well in this acrostic, and I so enjoyed it.
