I may have known you for a little while
or maybe it was a year or two.
The only thing I'm sure of now
is how much I'll be missing you.
You were a brother, friend, father, son.
You were so dedicated to your beliefs.
You kept me seeking happiness in trying times
and stressed an upcoming relief.
"Just hold on a little bit longer,"
you always told me to keep me calm.
I guess there seemed always to be
some breaking point during the storm.
Now I have to live on without you.
You left me here all alone.
I'll miss seeing your smiling face everyday.
All I have left is my memory of you to live on.
