Monumental
Sometimes the best monument you can build is to build nothing at all:
simply step away to treasure this perfect moment in time.
The sun surges mightily on the mountain, beckoning brightly,
my breath, heart, in rhythm. Emerald grass stands waving to the sea
in eloquent majesty ... there's no human fragility.
Pristine virgin territory ... untarnished by humankind ...
is where trees trapese, pansies pop and light prances non-stop.
Sunshine, unshaded, sashays, hurling arms, rays, luminescence
in a breath-taking array of come what may ... dazzles ... torments.
Life isn't the number of breath just the breath-taking moments.
The valley, aproned, catches our 'ahhhs' to flip and replay.
Trickled tears 'round as angels sigh, weep, providing relief
from diverted streams, rivers ... paradise exists, not a dream.
Animals frolic without pause, fear. Everything here is clear.
God has shown us every mercy ... all His gifts pristine, held dear.
Sometimes the best monument you can build is to build nothing at all:
simply step away to treasure this perfect moment in time.
