The sun retreated,
slowly westward,
framing you indelibly
in some rich
and nameless color.
And all along
I just stared on,
lost,
dying in time
to that softest of songs.

Your heart sings for another,
it's melody light and strong.

Soft and gentle yet stings with longing and pain. The sun may set around her, but there is love to be found elsewhere, with one that will return your passions.
Keep searching and your pathway will find her.

A nice write.
Perhaps it's time to seek another who only has a song in her heart for you.

ahhh, i know that melody, the sting of the song, when sung for another. and the stain of one's love for another that is left in every cell within our bodies...indelibility, indeed it is.

She is to your west...and oh so incredibly beautiful. it is the kind of beauty that hurts to look at. but jason, don't just stare...on, scream out. tell her you love her. ~ sara
