The pain it grows, and you'll never know,
That all things must die, and all one must do is try.
We yell we fight, I'm wrong she's right,
One day we just might find that death is another living.
This hatred swells, but to her i'd never tell,
From all grace I first fell, to learn peace is found in giving.
So why do I lie, when to myself she does rely,
As words onto this page I cry, she asks me to surrender.
And if it's so hard for me, why do they all agree,
That to go beyond what one sees, you must turn back and remember.
Not the times marked "bad", but the joy we all once had,
With one pen and one notepad, we allow the world to breathe.
And starting with one moment, on my knees we seek attonement,
From these lies of old now met with the sting of one last dream.
That the world may live and life may be free,
If one reaches clarity, will the answer pull us down, on our knees forever.
Or call us up on high, this world was born and one day will die,
All man must do is try to put these pieces back together.
Many men have seen the unjust, but out of terror the corrupt must,
Satiate their subtle bloodlust, as his one last thought he gives.
That life is given not to blow off, but to pass on what we know of,
As our sons and their sons grow up, someone learns how to live.
