I thought I knew the answer, but I ended up just guessing,
Maybe that's why I always start these out with questions.

Was she out there waiting for me?
In this font of darkness was it you that I could see?

Through years of stumbling heart aches I found the right connection,
I see she bled red, but all I found was my reflection.

Tell me my name, I've lost it in your eyes,
You'll find one day they do so much more than cry.

Why try to put your hand to the sky if your feet stay grounded?
Why remain humble if your words are best resounded?

And who thought I'd find a jewel I knew I'd miss,
I mean, it had to mean something for me to write this.

One light kiss and we begin to change the world,
Sunlight beating brighter off the face of one lovely girl.

Hold on to this moment, freeze, develop a dream,
Looking for the right way to say what you know I mean.

Finding ways to close her eyes, not needed to believe,
Freely give up emotion and you'll find finally you can breathe.

Imagining those cuddly cheek bones doubling up in deep moans,
Running out of daylight but we'll never fall asleep this soon.

And what does it matter if dreams seldom compare,
To those luscious lips, hushing hips, eyes born to stare.

Right into the soul, find your way into the hole,
Left to remind me of days that manifested only cold.

Hold me tight and warm me under this heart's light,
Fill my days with your presence and I'm sure I'll have a good night.
