This is a fun part of preparing for Christmas. I have done these calendars since I was a small child.

I remember when
I was young
At Christmas time
in our kitchen hung

An advent calendar
numbered 1-24
our family took turns
opening the doors

Suspense increased
as the month progressed
We could hardly wait
for the Christmas Fest
