When he died,
That morning in winter’s new arms
His lids drew closure to his dimming eyes
A last breath and his fingers relaxed in mine
His face, miraculously youthful once more
My heart heaved and choked my cry
For a moment the world was void
I tasted oblivion once again
The place I was before my creation
My father, I will love you forever

Last night I listened to a recording of him reciting William Cullen Bryant's poetry. We are fortunate to care and remember our loved ones so fondly.
Beautiful poem.
Bask in the memories.
