It seems unbelievable
In the bright sunlight,
But you never know,

In front of a street gang.

I'd rather be knocked
In the head by a baseball bat
Than go through
Those crooked streets again.

But to me, it is not just that.

Can these people stab me
In the back once I break back?
As a strategy says, 'Haste to retreat
To fight another day' only
When you can do it swiftly;
Otherwise fight, like a beast at bay,
To the bitter end to protect yourself
