Cleverly concocted, Tom. I have had only two used cars and that was early on when I was still in school and university. After that, I have had three cars, all bought new. The Datsun B210 I had for six years. We raised our family with the 1984 Dodge Caravan (2.2 liter) and had that for eighteen years. My favorite is the GMC Jimmy 4x4 which I have had now for fourteen years. Thanks for sharing. Love and peace,

My friends wife got one and I questioned how it would stand up!

Guess you will have to add flying car in a few years maybe, loved that.
Hey, I loved the Johnny Cash song about working on the assembly line in Detroit. He goes thru the model years numerically in the song and how he slipped out parts one at a time to build his own hogepoge automobile,
The song was called "One Piece At a Time" , you ought to google /you tube it if you never heard it.

Nice little jaunt through your auto history. Like my mechanic shop teacher told us. They don't make cars like they used to� That make them better. But they do become more complicated.

I don't think used is all that bad...I have been kind of lucky with my used heaps...the one I got now, a used, 2004, Honda Accord in silver like yours, is a really nice machine though it doesn't get the mileage yours gets as it is a V-6, fast mother, it is...and it had only 75,315 when I picked it up...now up to 79 & change, but a Honda is built to last forever & usually always starts...very comfy inside, black leather with heated seats & has XM on the radio...love all those stations with no commercials...glad to hear your new one works well...you are piling up that mileage...fun write, cuz...-e-
