You don’t know I see you
In the early morning light-
I’m standing there beside you.
When you don’t think it’s alright.

A tear begins its journey
From my heart into my eyes
Don’t let there be those stories
Where the superhero dies.

Love is what is Heaven
Not some place, or some reward
Not winning at the game of life
Not bowing to the Lord.

You look outside for beauty
And I’m right there looking in
At someone who’s so beautiful
I can’t even begin.

You can call it Jesus-
It’s exactly what he felt
When looking into children’s eyes
A smile that made him melt.

I get to see that every time
I dare to look your way
A mountain peak I didn’t climb
The Word is meant to say.

The word made flesh is still around
The path He made still clear-
The masses wait for Heaven,
But the servants find it here.
