We've never met
Never touched
but I know every line
and every crevice
of your face.
I have heard every nuance
of your voice,
every lilt and dip,
every tonal trip.
I have taken
a journey to your heart
to a place that is sacred.
where I practice my art.
I know you love me
but I don't think you know
how much I Iove you.
I could never say
because the day I do
will be the day I lose you.
Most intriguing. A regular Schrödinger's cat of a paradox, but one that is likely familiar to all of us. You've selected and separated out the singularity of the human spirit in this piece that one would have to be totally insensate to not appreciate. Brief, succinct, targeted with the precision of a bowman. I like it. -K2
