Have you lost value because of your age? Is your significance determined by skin? Do you feel like you're not enough Are you too fat or maybe too thin? Is it your bank balance or the cars that you drive, the vacations you take or how hard you strive?
No, this is a lie, and it's one that's grown old. Your value doesn't grow in the ways you've been told. It's not your looks or your possessions None of these things will leave lasting impressions
It's the love in your eyes
The soft touch of your hand
It's the kindness you show
When you understand.
Your value can't be found
In anything outside
Just dig down deeper
And you'll find it inside.
So wise, Chanti. So true. Guilty as charged am I but your verses steer me (and our readers) in the right direction. Blessing of love, peace, and all good to you.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
So true, or as that worldly philosopher, Anonymous, put it: "The richest person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least."
