An oldie (Amazing how time changes perspective)
...
I look at you, I see me
your blood in my veins
Your eyes in mine
They reflect in stars
and in a smile so wide
it enchants
You are my every reason,
the chest I want to lean against
when it is dark.
I yearn for your laughter
and hurt when you're in pain.
It is such torture to love you like this
and yet it feels so natural.
I can't find another way.
Loving you was easy
Letting go was hard.
I am adrift at sea.
Lost like a boat without mooring.
The current keeps driving me back to you.
But you keep drawing away,
like a beach that won't be reached.
Sand that slips away.
Was our love real?
Why did we have to part?
