Journey of Life


Life is a mixture of joys and sorrows,
with each new dawn we face the day,
never knowing the future of tomorrow,
reality of living just comes as it may.

The sun can rise above skies of blue,
or gray clouds darken with a gloom,
faith in God keeps hearts ever true ,
sooner or later we end up in a tomb.

Each day is a gift from heaven above,
filled with natural beauty we treasure,
colors of the rainbow, hearts in love,
importance of life can’t be measured.

Living in the shadows of our self doubt,
wandering in search of happiness to find,
in fields of green the children will shout,
felicity is found in our hearts and mind.

From days of yesterday we live and dream,
embracing the crossroads memories create,
caught up in good and ill gotten schemes,
the journey of life ends at the pearly gate.
