Nothing but a Memory by John Herlihy Now but a memory, Once deeply in love. Left behind – smoke, Trailing wings of a butterfly. The landscape in mist, Vapor veiling the slope. Once feelings blessed, Filled with hope. Falling into an abyss, Trapped under a sealed cover. The loved one now gone – missed. Can I ever from this recover? This piece reminded me of a conviction I established for myself long ago... love has many ways to manefest and often, stronger than romantic associations. Yet, all of love remains an element of life that is very easy to lose if its bredth is confined to object. You are living love everyday you write, share words of love in different forms, often with Nature... a beloved source for my own thoughts. Hopefully I can share as worthy a text as you have here. So well voiced. Thank you for posting.
