Country Angel Band

[chorus]

I can hardly wait for Heaven

Where I want to hear God play

Country music on His guitar

Like the songs I love today

And I know God plays in Heaven

He’s a country music man

For I’ve heard that He’s the leader

Of a country angel band

[Verse 1]

I want to see God’s fingers pick

And strum like cowboys do

And hear Him sing songs of His love

For folks like me and you

And when I get to Heaven

I hope god has a plan

To save a place for me to play

In His angelic band

                   [repeat chorus]

                   [insert instrumental bridge]

[verse 2]

And when I get to Heaven

i know it will be grand

to play with God a tune or two

In His country angel band

I can hardly wait for Heaven

Where I want to hear God play

Country music on His guitar

Like the songs I love today

[verse 3]

There’s a place for me in Heaven

Where someday I’m going to be

That’s why I practice every day

To play each song in key

But even if I miss a note

Or forget a word or two

With God on the lead guitar

My song will make it through

                   [repeat chorus]

I don't usually comment on songs because I find that they are difficult foor me to read and understand. Not so this one. Excellent.
