Gentle voices from the past
Call to me day and night
Whispering of their grace and charm
In echoes so polite
The Victorian Era, gentle and fair
Is the chosen era for me
If there, I'd be gathering flowers
To place beside my Victorian setee
I would receive guests daily
In my perfectly managed home
Serving tea in my finest china
With dainty sandwitches and scones
Life there would be so perfect
The pace slow and sweet
The road rage of todays traffic
Would never occur on my street
But, I am here, not living there
So, I'll just dream and sigh
But, should you see a time machine
I'll be waving to you from the sky.
