I think that I would like to be,
A person who is not like me,
Some one with a neat and tidy mind,
Who everything in it’s place can find.
My desk and table are always in a mess,
And trying to find things, I must confess,
Is a task impossible for my cluttered mind,
I throw my hands up, and leave it all
behind.
I envy those with things so neat,
That to gaze on them is quite a treat.
To see the nicely ordered rows,
Of documents, pens and
written prose.
I was told in a long past time,
That a cluttered desk was a genius
sign,
If that is true , then in my case,
I must have all the knowledge
that exists in space.
Until such time as the tide will turn,
And in my house a nice neat desk
discern,
I’ll burrow through this awful mess,
And just to clutteredness confess.
It is said that concentration is the secret of success in war, in politics, in business and all spheres. A cluttered mind can never achieve concentration or organization.The reference to genius is apt. They are supposed to be lopsided but they are more an exception than the rule.
John, I think a "tidy mind" is a product of a "sick mind" LOL! I have all the knowledge of space also, but unfortunately for me, space is a vacuum, and that explains my mind for freakin' sure! Again, Peace, Ed & Rufuz
