As I sipped my morning coffee;
my soul became filled with glee.
The sunlight was, oh so very bright;
brought to mind the Creator's uncreated light.
The tall grass swayed in the breeze;
the wind on its circuit, with ease.
It seemed for a moment to brush my heart;
the spirit once again, bestowing true rampart.
She rides on the wings of the wind;
chase her, and she'll never, ever rescind.
Her name is wisdom, her fruit is insight;
grab hold of her and you'll never be uptight.
Webster defined the simpleton as a fool;
but there are two kinds, isn't that supercool?
The one who meddles, heading for a snare;
then the one, having few worldly cares.
So when you sip your coffee and look out the window;
ask for wisdom, and be in the know.
If there is no wind, if there is no sunshine;
call out to wisdom, and drink of her sweet wine.
"She rides on the wings of the wind;
chase her, and she'll never, ever rescind.
Her name is wisdom, her fruit is insight;
grab hold of her and you'll never be uptight."
Yes, a poetic song about wisdom expressed just right!
Amen
