The Pen

The pen is an animate object that holds blue liquid in its beings

It helped write on paper about hopes and dreams

It helped if there is something you wanted to remember

The pen has come a long way in colour and design

It comes in all colours not like in the past

I think of years ago a feather pen one would hold unto

Dip it in the ink bottle for their story to be told

The pen put down on paper love letters to behold

Sometimes the pen wrote words on paper

That never should been told

Once hurtful words are on paper they cannot be taken back

You cannot erase words the pen helped write once they are sent

The pen helped people write down all their desires

The pen helps the words flow down unto the page

Then a letter was sent

TThe pen helped write many good-bye letters

Or love letters in the past

Sometimes the ink on paper would make another smile

Words written on paper a lesson would be learned

Today the pen is not used as much replace

With a finger and a computer pad

Aphone or text a message is futures way to write

No matter how you write a message

That you send make sure it does not hurt

The person that receives it at the other end

We use now the tip of our finger

For our words to be received

It does not matter what you use

Some words are best expressed in person

Think about the words you write

Are they words you would want to read?
