Everyone these days is so busy, the family unit has been lost.

Busy people rush here and there Their faces reveal a distant stare Anymore, time, is a delicate word The singing birds are rarely heard What would it take to slow them down? Some answers aren't easily found Take a moment to look inside and you will see The important thing, is a family Take the extra time to show you care Increase your awareness, if you dare The answer you will find If priorities are redefined Your life will take an amazing turn Enthusiasm will inside you burn The happiness that's been suppressed Surprisingly will begin to manifest With a song in your heart And a smile on your face The world for you, will be a happier place.

So eloquently put, and a challenge to take to heart, indeed. You have put this priority in words that are very easy to read and ponder. Jesus said that where are treasure is, there will our heart be also,Karen.

We need to spend more time together as family; seems that this has been lost by far too many (including mine; the only two who keep in contact with me are my twin sister, whom I live with, and our brother, who calls us every month to say howdy; the two other sisters don't even bother. Sad.). Well done!

So well written and expressed Karen, this is true society in a whole is rushing about and have forgotten priorities. The family unit is not what it used to be. The one thing I managed to impress upon my son's is dinner time will be spent at the table not in front of the Telly. That is a time to gather and talk about the days events. Showing love and care and a time of personal communion.

Wonderfully written and thought provoking for all to read.
