All tuckered out is my demise.
Yet it comes as no surprise...
'cause I been moviin'
and I been groovin'
for eighty six years.
I been up hill...
and I been down hill
and all around the town.
But things ain't like they used to be
since parts wear down in the old body.
Now I have to learn to keep it sliow
which ever way I may want to go.
Yet I'm having fun in the sun
bare footin' on Cape Cod,
Vacation Land USA.
Now;s the time
to spread good cheer
to people I love both far and near.
If I don't have strength to help in any way
I can always pray and hope to make their day.
And you do that completely, John, when you compose such wonderful pieces of poetry such as this. You are ten years ahead of me in years, and I can only hope to be half as entertaining when I approach that number.
