Write unto me the name of your love
Stake your claim before it disappears
For thine nights are spent longing for a heart to beat with mine as one
A forgiving, understanding, and gentle touch of human spirit
One soul finding its mate as pure bliss awaits
Could you be the one?
Or are you simply passing through?
I thought I was in love once
I thought I had it all
But drifting accompanies distance
And another bed becomes more inviting
When will my heart be full again?
Will you please sign onto this chapter,
This charter with me?
I am beside myself
Drenched in blood, sweat, tears, and perspiration due to running a race which has lead to no finish line
For if I knew you would be at the end waiting for me with a bouquet of red roses and Statice
I would run forever and die a thousand deaths until our lips shall meet
But your letter, your sign, your presence has yet to come around
And I am crushed and alone
If only in my dreams I drift away on this night with you
'Tis be the everlasting night
For I shall sleep forever
And you shall know your worth
Because to me, my love
You are worth my last breath
