Good night sweet love
I lay you down to rest as I wander on
No longer believing in fairy tales
I know you won’t return home to me on a majestic white steed
You rode off into the sunset
and now I must crawl out of this abyss and find my own way to the light
Too many days of thunder and nights of cold rain have washed hope away
Nothing is left but will
for you left with my heart in your hand
The emptiness in my soul has been replaced with determination
I will survive this tragedy
The rain may beat down on me
and the thunder may echo through my body
But I will persevere
as I take from your hand what is rightfully mine...
And kiss you softly goodbye.
Softly, passionately written. A sad, longing good-bye. -- Jeff

I don't have alot of fancy words to add to this review. What I write comes from my heart. I saw the title and went right for it. This one hit home. Very nice heart felt write. I will save this, I need to read the last line a few more times. Again very nice. peace abel
There is pain expressed here but there is also hope and the strength that grows therefrom. Thank you for this offering, Crystal-Rain. Love and peace, Regis.

OUCH OUCHJ OUCH! Wonderful talent. This one pulls at heart strings. Beautiful heart you have...Fine work!
Professionally reflects both the pain and determination to rise above to overcome emotional wounds. Very well written, Crystal. If, as Jerry mentions, this is early work, then you are headed towards mastery and recognition. ~~Bonnie Q
