Poem inspired by a lyric from the song Cancer by My Chemical Romance.
If you say goodbye today My heart will break in two Cos all I've ever wanted Was someone like you But you've found another To be your lover Now you're leaving me in dust I'm not crying because I must Try to stay strong Though it feels so wrong That you're no longer there Maybe you never cared I'm nothing without you I don't know what to do Can someone show me the way To get through another day

Yes, there are elements of a song here that some of the young artists out there would love to to sing because heart break pays more dividends than joy.

This poem has a song-like quality. I'd actually classify it as a song... The last four lines can very well be the chorus. The first four lines verse 1, the next four lines verse 2, and four lines after that can be the bridge...

Very moving and very emotional words. I almost burst into tears... Thanks for sharing.
