Just thinking how truly we are never alone throughout our life-times. I can strongly testify to that.

Poem Artwork

You have walked with me,footprints in the sand.

Always helped me understand, where am coming from and going.

When i was alone, you were so there.

There was much unknown, along this path i tread.

Then i heard you say, the most beautiful of words.

“You’ll always be there."

This you promised, that in this path I'll never walk alone.

When i need a friend, carry me you will.

My life flashes like lightning bolts, all across the sky.

Many a times I've been so afraid.

Just when i thought i had lost my way.

You gave me strength to carry on.

In this sand, all i see are your footprints.

Amen.

I think I know your message, but I prefer that it be a real friend (physical, tangible, someone that you can touch) that said, "You'll [I'll?] always be there."

A wonderful poetic tapestry that paints a picture of footprints in the sand on a lonely beach. This can only take me to my best friend, Jesus as He carried me through the most difficult of times. To others it may be a romantic encounter with someone. In either case, it's a beautiful, creative write.

Love and Blessings,

John Michael

I'm not into your concept of who has made those footprints, but I am into whatever a person believes. And the belief as you describe is far, far better, in my opinion, than to lash out at society for wrongs one thinks has put them in the predicament they may be in. In other words, Mary, God Bless You!
