Into rain upon a sand
Footsteps lost
Pure the plan
Rest in circle complete
Find her selling on the street
Bought herself a man
And the tears are barrel won
Six shots
Old and young
Know no place
Just another pretty face
Little lady is not
Done
Silver stars on a stage
Hanoi Jane plays
Just a target in a scope
Keep pumping dope
Last of dollars tucked away
And my brothers die
See hurt in their eyes
Left them behind
Burden heavy on my mind
Heart is cold as stone
Still in guilt alone
My brethren play the flute
To edge
Ruthless view
I thought I knew
But
Into rain upon a sand
Footsteps lost
Pure the plan
Rest in circle complete
Find her selling on the street
Bought herself a man
The horrors of wars/disasters are those images (ghosts) that linger long after the wars are over. Unfortunately, the minds of warriors are not taught how to block the ghosts!
Well written, Walt.

Describes well the horror that soldiers go through, first, in war, and then much later when they can't forget.

Sir, if you use the firefox browser, the authorsden editor will take the poem's configuration exactly as you have made it in Word. At least it worked for me. Nice poem, by the way! Greetings, D.T. de Bruijn.
A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
Well written, Walt.
