Sometimes I think cowboys appreciate you more
Because their lives are not crowded with others at the door.
They lead a simple life but not easy like  you do
Daily chores come first, and there is always something new.
 
They don't always have time for small talk and chit chat
But when you need them, they'll always know where you're at
To receive a simple buttercup from the desert floor
As a gift to your hand it couldn't mean more
 
Whenever they have a story about their day
It usually comes from a chore or a stray
That happened to need help just to survive
When help came, it was the cowboy that arrived
 
His pony is his partner and pal for the day
And stays by his side until put away
But lonesome will come when the stars shine overhead
He needs to find someone to lay in his bed.
