I Need is about understanding yourself and the work for what it is. At the same time, you help others understand as well.

I NEED

There are certain things that I’m accustomed to,

As a woman with desires and dreams, I need s**t too;

The constant caress of a gentle hand,

A man who understands God’s greater plan,

Walking through the park holding hand in hand,

Romancing one another gently as we discuss our future plans;

I need soft words spoken gently to me,

A warm touch that reassures me,

That I to him, mean everything,

The words I Love You said lovingly,

Patience for the days that I mess up see,

And even those days when I’m not quite me;

I need him to pay the bills,

Love at will,

Be for real,

Take the time to truly know the deal,

Be there regardless yet and still,

Continue to go forward with no doubt,

Remind me reassuringly that he is down,

I need friends who love me unconditionally,

A family that looks past just what they see,

Strangers who understand the true meaning of Free,

Another opportunity to get right with thee;

I need to know the meaning of life,

I need a man who treats me like his wife,

And a lover who will last far through the night,

I need,

Oh! Yes I need my Mr. Right,

The one who will gladly put up a fight,

Throw down, show down from night to light;

I need a word from the Lord that will sustain me,

The ability to see past me, myself, and I to get to we;

Romancing the stone,

Long, loving conversations on the phone,

Touching and kissing, he won’t leave me alone,

Or even out to roam,

He knows in his heart WHERE IS HOME,

He’ll break his back and his pocket too,

Just to make sure that we get through,

I need honesty, love, patience and joy,

I need freedom to love, live and grow,

I need love in abundance,

Faith with no reluctance,

Patience to go through free,

Kept by thee,

Blessed favorably,

A greater relationship with thee,

With the one who died to set me free,

I need to know that my kids are good,

And though they may play around in the hood,

They themselves ain’t up to no good,

Because they learned from childhood what to do,

“To thine ownself you must be true ,”

I need fathers to get on their jobs and take a stand,

I need mothers to teach their daughters about these men,

This land and How it is that they can win in the end,

I need sisters and brothers to show mo love,

People to recognize that they need God,

The freedom to live without fault,

Less people try’na take me out,

Make me doubt,

Break me out,

Cuz they ain’t’ got no route,

I need greater faith to know that He’ll bring me out,

The ability to tell the bad people to get out,

The strength to walk away when all else fails,

And the ability to call heads or tails,

I need,

I need,

I need,

I need a man who will open the door for me,

Never ignore me see,

Make me feel like I’m everything,

Give me the world, including the ring,

Show me love unconditionally,

Wine me and dine me comfortably,

Chaffeur me around cuz I’m the queen,

Never leave me down cuz he loves me,

Never disrespect cuz I’m to special,

Send away the liars, the snitches, the heffa’’s,

Ring on my finger, Oh! yeah, this is definite;

I need love,

I need peace,

I need to write because it is my release,

I need to conquer my destiny,

So I can be all that He has called in me,

I know what I want and I know what I need,

And I won’t stop until I succeed,

So I implore you to seek out what works for thee,

Cuz I know I’m not the only one with a “I NEED”

Be Blessed
