Where It's At
(Chords D,A,G)
(Chorus)
I got my cowboy boots and my cowboy hat
and my ragged old jeans that's torn in the back
My shirt's got a picture of the Man In Black
says Johnny in the front and Cash on the back
Some say I'm livin' in the long gone past
but I like to tell 'em..............(pause)
THAT'S WHERE IT'S AT
I ride in my Chevy that's my pick up truck
but I'll hop in your Ford if you pick me up
I might start talking 'bout the days on the farm
like rolling in the hay in the back of the barn
Now I think those times they weren't so bad
when I think about 'em ever' now and then
If I'd never known my country home
I'd never have a place to call my own
(Chorus)
I got my cowboy boots and my cowboy hat
and my ragged old jeans that's torn in the back
My shirt's got a picture of the Man In Black
says Johnny in the front and Cash on the back
Some say I'm livin' in the long gone past
but I like to tell 'em................(pause)
THAT'S WHERE IT'S AT
Now I don't have money or fancy things
it's just me and my girl in her hot blue jeans
I see ever' thing that I'll ever need
when I look in her eyes lookin' back at me
So it's me, my girl and a dog named Joe
and this ole guitar wherever we go
I know those old times, they ain't comin' back
but I'll keep 'em in my songs, you can count on that
(Chorus)
I got my cowboy boots and my cowboy hat
and my ragged old jeans that's torn in the back
My shirt's got a picture of the Man In Black
says Johnny in the front and Cash on the back
Some say I'm livin' in the long gone past
but I like to tell 'em that's where it's at
Some say I'm livin' in the long gone past
but I like to tell 'em that's where it's at
Some say I'm livin' in the long gone past
but I like to tell 'em.......(Stop and Pause)
.......................(spoken)...THAT'S WHERE IT'S AT!
I really like the tone of this one. Your picture reminds me of my twin brother and I out and about by the shack behind the barn we lived in for our first two years. One of our first T-shirts that we wore a lot and had our picture taken in, and on the front, "Rope 'um Ronald and Rope 'um Roger" with rope surrounding our names. Great with our cowboy outfits.
