The philosophies of man...ever to generate more questions and discussions.
Occam’s razor shaving close,
The least assumption to promote.
Ontological parsimony from a Friar.
Some believe he was a liar.
Believing, as some philosophers postulate,
Our beginning, an equation we should castigate,
By virtue of unanswered data,
Regarding universes of expanding matter.
Did Homo sapiens’ aquatic nature
Evolve to that of standing stature?
Morph to Hylobates, then to man?
Answer this question if you can.
Science promotes a gigantic blast,
The beginning of what now is our past.
However, I think there is one catch –
Who was there to light the match?

A neat rhyming way to express what you think, though not being much of an intellectual & reading this while high, it makes it hard for me to understand...but I enjoyed the read all the same...-e-

Thank you for your response. I enjoyed reading it. I also enjoy science and its compatibility and union with God's plans. I'm not sure how many faeries do occupy the head of that pin, but I wouldn't want to sit on it! Thanks again.
I recall a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1978 where this question was posed by the keynote speaker in his address, God and the Astronomers. His conclusion was that the theory of the Big Bang and the idea of creation were entirely compatible.
To feeble destructive and warlike greedy intelligence like ours, such questions are moot because it really makes no difference who lit the match or even whether the current theory of the gigantic blast is true or not. In the short run we have to use the science we do know the facts of and stop arguing about theories that will probably remain unsolvable for thousands of years. These questions should only be addressed with any conviction by the most intelligent, least greedy, and un-warlike among us.
I love science and discussions of it. I welcome all new theories, proven or not. I don't waste time discussing how many faeries dance of the point of a needle.
