“Virescent”

As I think of you
I am at ease—though,
I desire you, here, when
Autumn takes the leaves
As leaves fall fatally to the ground,
To dust, turning,
Will you comfort me, softly—
Will you take my hands to swing
Our caressing spirits begin to dance, fervently,
In arrays of green
Dark hearts do await our fall,
As we flutter amidst the autumn breeze—
Leaves come to rest, for their last
Still, we dance … laughing—
I am at ease dancing with you in
Fervent green—entranced
With your smiling glory, and your steps;
They say we are forever free,
Winter shadows will not cover me,
My loneliness will cease,
And, this haunting life will
Leave us
Dancing

“Virescent”

As I think of you,
I am at ease—though,
I need you, closer, when
Autumn takes the leaves
As leaves fall fatally to the ground … to dust, turning,
Will you comfort me, softly
Will you take my hands to swing
Our caressing spirits begin to dance and cling—
A moment of touching hearts mending, and dancing
Fervently, in arrays of green
Dark hearts do await our fall,
As we flutter amidst the autumn breeze—
Leaves come to rest, for their last—turning colors
Fast
Still, we linger and not flee
We dance, happily—laughing
With our hearts dancing in fervent green
Entranced by your smiling glory, and your steps;
They say we are forever free,
Winter shadows will not cover me,
My loneliness will cease, and
This haunting life will
Leave us … dancing….

Stabbing Pencey Boudreaux by Mary Lynn Plaisance

A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
